Ahmedabad. Even though Rajasthan Royals (RR) could not reach the final in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026), young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi created such a storm throughout the season that awards rained on him. The journey of Rajasthan Royals ended with a defeat to Gujarat Titans (GT) in Qualifier-2, but Vaibhav proved that he was the biggest superstar of this season by scoring 96 runs in just 47 balls in the last match.
At the age of just 15, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 776 runs in 16 innings at an average of 48.50 and an explosive strike rate of 237.30. He scored 1 century and 5 half-centuries in the entire season. When the awards ceremony took place after the final of the 19th season of IPL held between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31 (Sunday), only Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s name was echoing everywhere…
1. ‘Electric Super Striker of the Season’: Vaibhav Suryavanshi won this award by batting with the most dangerous strike rate in IPL 2026. For this award, only those batsmen were shortlisted who played at least 7 matches and faced 100 balls. Vaibhav scored runs at a strike rate of 237.30 in the entire season. He was followed by Finn Allen (214.11), Priyansh Arya (211.62) and Abhishek Sharma (204.72). Vaibhav was given a Tata Sierra car as a reward.
2. Award for most sixes: Vaibhav Suryavanshi hit 72 sixes in the entire season. Vaibhav is the batsman who has hit the most sixes in a season of IPL. Vaibhav received prize money of Rs 10 lakh for hitting the most sixes in this season. Abhishek Sharma of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was at second place in this list, who hit 43 sixes. Whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar hit 41 sixes.

3. ‘Emerging Player of the Season’: Vaibhav Suryavanshi was also selected as ‘Emerging Player of the Season’. For this award, only those players were shortlisted, who were born after April 1, 2000, who had played less than 25 IPL matches before this season and who have not played international cricket till now. Young players like Priyansh Arya and Prince Yadav were also in this race, but Vaibhav came out ahead.
4. ‘Most Valuable Player of the Season’: Vaibhav Suryavanshi also received the biggest individual honor of IPL 2026. He won the ‘Most Valuable Player of the Season’ award. Vaibhav had a total of 436.5 points. Gujarat Titans (GT) fast bowler Kagiso Rabada stood second. Under this award, Vaibhav received Rs 15 lakh. Last season, this award was won by Suryakumar Yadav of Mumbai Indians (MI).
5. Orange Cap: Vaibhav Suryavanshi also won the Orange Cap in IPL 2026 by scoring 776 runs. After him, the star players of Gujarat Titans were Shubhman Gill (732 runs) and Sai Sudarshan (722 runs). Along with the Orange Cap, Vaibhav also received prize money of Rs 10 lakh for scoring the most runs.
