Video: PSL is praised only for money…former Pak player’s befitting reply to those who call IPL a film
Ahmed Shehzad On IPL: South African batsman Riley Rousseau recently described the Indian Premier League (IPL) as like a movie and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as more competitive. His statement sparked a new debate in the cricket world, especially when he is currently playing for Quetta Gladiators.
Ahmed Shahzad’s counterattack
Former Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad reacted sharply to Russo’s statement. He said that PSL is often praised by those players who do not get a chance to play in IPL. Shehzad clearly said that if a player gets the option to play in both the leagues, he will definitely choose IPL.
‘PSL is praised for money’
Shehzad also alleged that many foreign players praise PSL only because of money. According to him, such players while playing in Pakistan give different arguments to show that the league is better, whereas in reality their priority is IPL. He looked at the statements of players like Rousseau from this perspective.
Ahmed Shehzad brutally owned PSL:
You only have players left in the PSL who have either retired from the IPL, gone unsold in the IPL, or have no future in the IPL, like David Warner and Steve Smith. If any current player has a chance to play, they will choose the IPL. So how… pic.twitter.com/2GTSopxZPA

Comment on retired and dropped players
Shahzad said that mostly those players seen in PSL are those who have been out of IPL or are in the last phase of their career. Referring to names like David Warner, Kevin Pietersen and Chris Gayle, he said that these players are now associated with PSL and they make the league successful.
Question on expansion of PSL also
Shahzad also raised questions on the policies of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He said that an attempt was made to make the PSL bigger by increasing the number of teams, but this has led to a decline in the quality of the league. Also, he justified Blessing Muzarabani’s decision of choosing IPL and said that it is the natural choice of a professional player.
