Following the instructions of the Election Commission, Deoghar SP Ajit Peter Dungdung was excluded from election work, regarding which the members of the India Alliance had submitted a letter to the State Election Commission expressing their objection. After the removal of Ajit Peter Dungdung, the Election Commission had asked for a panel of three officers, after which Amber Lakra has been given the responsibility of the new Superintendent of Police of Deoghar.
