IPS Transfer: 7 IPS officers transferred together, got new charge, order issued

Administrative reshuffle (IPS Transfer) has been seen in Telangana. The state government has given new charge to 7 IPS officers. There has been a change in the charge of many posts including IGP, Director General and ADG. Orders related to transfer and appointment were issued on Friday in the name of the Governor by Principal Secretary to the Government. Ramakrishna Rao has issued, which will be effective from 1st May 20226.

IPS officer Shikha Goyal, Director General (Vigilance & Enforcement) and ex-officio Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Home Department. The service member will also hold the full additional charge of the posts of Director, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau and Director, Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory until further orders.

Who is the new Director General of Vigilance and Enforcement?

IPS officer Devendra Singh Chauhan, Additional Director General of Police (Personnel), Telangana Hyderabad, has been appointed as Director General (Vigilance & Enforcement) and Principal Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department. He will take over from Shikha Goyal. Shahnawaz Qasim, Director General, Drugs Control Administration, Hyderabad, has been appointed as IGP Multi Zone-II Telangana Hyderabad. Apart from this, he will also hold the additional charge of IGP (Personnel), Telangana Hyderabad.

Police commissioners of Future City and Malkajgiri changed

Tarun Joshi, Director, Anti Corruption Bureau, Telangana, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Future City. B. Sumati has been appointed to the post of Police Commissioner of Malkajgiri.

Avinash Mohanty, Malkajgiri Police Commissioner has been transferred and posted as Director General Drugs Control Administration and Director Prohibition and Excise, Telangana, Hyderabad. He will also hold additional charge of the post of Director, ACB Telangana. IPS officer Karthikeya, working as IGP, Intelligence, has been given additional charge of the post of IGP, SSB Intelligence.
