Launch date and availability

The iQOO 15R launch is scheduled for February 24 in India. This event will be held in Bengaluru, which users will be able to watch live on the company’s official social media channels and YouTube. The phone will be available exclusively on Amazon and will be offered in two color options, Triumph Silver and Dark Knight.

The iQOO 15R is billed as a “Perfect Fit” device. Its thickness will be 7.9 mm and the design will have flat edges. The Dark Knight variant will offer a simple and classic look, while the Triumph Silver model will sport a motorsport-inspired checkered finish.

Gaming-friendly for the youth, this phone will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, which is considered a powerful chipset in this category. Additionally, Supercomputing Chip Q2 will also be present, which supports gaming up to 144FPS. The company claims that its AnTuTu score will be more than 35 lakhs. The phone also includes a 6.5K IceCore VC cooling system and network enhancement chip.

Software and Updates

iQOO 15R will run on OriginOS 6 and will have several AI features like AI Erase, AI Magic Move, and Google Gemini integration. The company is claiming to provide four Android OS updates and six years of security updates.

This phone will have a 6.59 inch 1.5K resolution 144Hz refresh rate display. Its biggest feature is its 7,600mAh battery, which is considered to be the largest in this segment. Along with this, it can be charged faster with 100W FlashCharge support.

compromise in camera

While the performance and battery are commendable, the camera could be a bit mediocre. It will have a dual rear camera setup, which will include a 50MP Sony LYT main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera. However, it will not have a telephoto lens. A 32MP camera on the front will be available for selfies and video calling.

The iQOO 15R is planned to be priced under Rs 50,000. According to reports, its possible starting price could be around Rs 47,999. The starting price of iQOO 15 was Rs 72,999. Therefore, this model is designed keeping in mind those users who are looking for flagship features while staying in budget.
