Iran Attack: Iran took revenge from America, attacked US related targets, tension increased
Tension between Iran and America has once again reached its peak. Iran’s army has attacked several targets associated with American forces. This action has been taken in response to the air strikes conducted by America on the southern coast of Iran.
This entire controversy started on 25 June 2026, when an Iranian drone attacked a Singapore commercial ship M/V Ever Lovely in the Strait of Hormuz. In response, on June 26, the US Army carried out an air strike targeting missile, drone and radar sites located on Iran’s southern coast and Qeshm Island.
On June 27, Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced that they had retaliated against US-affiliated targets. The Iranian government says that America has openly violated a recent agreement (MoU). This agreement was signed between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump on June 18, 2026 with the mediation of Pakistan, the objective of which was to end the war.
Iran has claimed that America has broken the rules of the UN Charter, so they retaliated to protect themselves. On the other hand, America’s CENTCOM has called the drone attack on the ship a big mistake and a violation of the ceasefire agreement. President Donald Trump has also called the Iranian attack foolish.
Amidst this tension, Oman and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) had decided on a safe route for ships on June 23, but Iran has described this route as completely dangerous. At the same time, Iran’s IRGC Fajr Corps has started controlled explosions to remove unexploded bombs in Jahrom area of southern Iran, which will continue till the end of the week.
