In the reports of Planet Labs and Reuters, changes were clearly visible in countries like Qatar, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. US President Donald Trump wants a nuclear deal with Iran, but is also demanding a ban on the ballistic missile program. Iran refused this, after which the attacks started. Bahrain’s naval base was targeted, while last year the US attacked Iran’s nuclear sites.

The number of aircraft in Qatar increased and Patriot missile launchers were deployed at Al Udeid Air Base, which will protect against Iranian missiles. Accordingly, F-15E jets, A-10 aircraft and MQ-9 drones were deployed at Salti Air Base in Jordan. Large transport aircraft were seen at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. Military equipment also increased in areas like Oman and Diego Garcia, which overall shows America’s defensive preparedness.

US naval base in Bahrain

Bahrain is the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet, which handles the security of the Gulf, the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. This base plays an important role in protecting the sea routes. Iran’s recent attacks directly target it, putting regional stability at risk. The ships and personnel stationed here protect American interests, but increasing tensions have increased the challenges.
