Iran broke through the US armor! America ‘blind’ in Middle East to Tehran’s missiles

Even on the eighth day, the entire Middle East witnessed the battle of Dhundhuma. Meanwhile, Iran practically blinded America. Tehran destroyed the powerful US radar ‘THAD’ in Jordan. A US official confirmed the news on Saturday.

According to multiple media reports, the radar was located at the US Air Force Base Muwafak Salti in Jordan. It was completely destroyed by Iran’s fierce missile attack. Several satellite images have also been released. It also appears that the US radar has been destroyed. On February 28, after the joint attack of America and Israel on Iran, Tehran started retaliating throughout the Middle East. The Iranian army also launched a missile attack on the American air base in Jordan. But at the time it was claimed that two Iranian missiles were destroyed in the air. But now it is believed that ‘THAD’ was destroyed in that attack.

It is good to say, ‘THAD’ is a powerful air defense system of America. Capable of destroying enemy ballistic missiles in a single flight. It is more powerful than the Patriot missile defense system. THAD carries a radar called N/TPY-2, which helps in identifying enemy missiles. A total of eight THAAD defense systems are deployed around the world, including South Korea and Guam. The estimated cost of each THAD battery is about $1 billion, of which the radar system alone costs about $300 million. There is a special team of 90 people to manage this entire defense system.

Ryan Brost, deputy director of the Center on Military and Political Power at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, said, “If the THAAD downing is true, it is one of Iran’s most successful attacks. But America has much more powerful radars.”
