The war is still pending Iran again closes the Strait of Hormuz, peace agreement with America is in danger!
Iran on Strait of Hormuz: Iran’s Joint Military Command announced on Saturday that the strategically important Strait of Hormuz has once again been closed. The military leadership has cited the ongoing Israeli military action in Lebanon, failure to end the war and allegations against America of not fulfilling agreements as the main reasons behind this decision.
In a statement broadcast on state television, the Iranian military said the US did not respect its commitments and its attitude clearly showed “bad faith”. It was also warned that if military action and aggression continues in the area, further more stringent steps can be taken.
Negotiation team will leave for Switzerland
Shortly after this announcement, Iranian state media reported that the country’s negotiating team would leave for Switzerland. The visit was earlier proposed for Friday, but was later postponed.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghees indicated that unless the US fully implements its promises and obligations, there is little hope for any concrete progress. He said that the purpose of this visit is to raise the demand for fulfillment of the promises made by the other side.
According to Baghei, negotiations towards a final agreement can only move forward if all key commitments, including stopping the conflict in Lebanon, are implemented. He warned that if any part of the agreement was not followed, the entire Memorandum of Understanding could be in jeopardy.
Equation changed after attacks in Lebanon
The movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz started normalizing after the interim agreement between the US and Iran at the beginning of the week. However, Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon on Saturday made the situation tense again.

According to reports, at least 16 people were killed in these attacks, including two children. This action took place at a time when positive signs were emerging regarding the ceasefire. Despite this, regional tensions increased further as the attacks continued. Iran has long been supporting the Lebanese organization Hezbollah. In such a situation, Tehran had warned that if Israel did not stop its military action, it could withdraw from the recent agreements.
