It is dangerous to take risks lightly

The death toll in protests in Iran has crossed 2,500, following which the Indian Embassy in Iran has asked all citizens – including students, pilgrims, businessmen and tourists – to leave the country using available means, including commercial flights.

The advisory issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that keeping in mind the current situation in Iran, all Indian citizens living there, whether students, pilgrims, businessmen or tourists, have been advised to make arrangements to exit Iran as soon as possible using available means of transport, including commercial flights.
The government has once again made it clear that Indian citizens and people of Indian origin present in Iran need to exercise complete caution. They have been asked to stay away from any kind of protests or crowded areas, remain in touch with the Indian Embassy in Iran and keep an eye on local news media for latest information.
Apart from this, all Indian citizens living in Iran have been requested to always keep all their important travel and immigration documents like passport and identity card with them. For any kind of assistance or information, contact the Indian Embassy immediately.

According to the advisory, Indians have now been urged to be more cautious than before, avoid protest areas, stay in touch with the Indian Embassy in Tehran, keep travel and identity documents ready and keep an eye on local developments. Those who have not registered with the embassy have been asked to do so as soon as possible, while emergency helpline numbers and email support have been activated for assistance.
Trump made this appeal to the protesters
US President Donald Trump on Tuesday called on protesters to occupy their institutions and urged them not to back down. Without giving further details, he said help was on the way. On the other hand, Iranian officials have accused America and Israel of destabilizing the country by inciting the protesters. Iran has said that terrorist henchmen are responsible for the deaths during the protests.
