Iran had planned to assassinate Trump and Biden… a major revelation by a Pakistani businessman

Desk: The war between Iran and Israel continues. There seems to be no sign of an end to this conflict. Meanwhile, various claims are being made about the conflict. Pakistani businessman Asif Merchant was coerced by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard into participating in a plot to assassinate Trump, Biden, and Nikki Haley.

In court, Merchant claimed that his family was in danger, so he had “no other choice.” However, the hitmen he hired turned out to be undercover FBI agents, foiling the entire plot.

Asif Merchant, a Pakistani businessman, is currently on trial in the US for terrorist conspiracy. He is accused of being recruited by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a special unit of Iran’s military, to plot to assassinate prominent American leaders.

Asif has confessed to plotting to assassinate US President Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and Nikki Haley. In court, Asif Merchant stated that he was tasked with this by a member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. He feared that if he hadn’t carried out the task, his family in Iran could have been harmed. Therefore, he was forced to accept the plot.

Asif Merchant told the courtroom that he had hired two hired shooters to carry out this entire plan. He had also agreed to pay them for this work. He was supposed to pay them shortly. However, the person he thought was a hitman was actually an undercover FBI agent. This is why his entire plan failed, and he was subsequently arrested. The case is currently ongoing in a US court. Merchant is seeking relief, claiming he is compelled, while the government lawyer claims he concocted the plan himself.
