In view of this internal strife in Iran, the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is currently absent at the centre. He has not yet addressed the nation even after his father’s death. It is feared that he is hiding in fear of his life. The fundamentalist group ‘Zebh-e-Payadari’ has alleged that President Masoud Pezeshkian and chief negotiator Ghalibaf are trying to capture power by taking advantage of the absence of the new supreme leader. The group has called it a conspiracy of political coup. Radical MP Mahmoud Nabavian raised questions on social media whether there is going to be a coup in Iran.

Radical MP Mahmoud Nabavian, who raised the issue of a coup, has been removed from the National Security Committee of Parliament. It is alleged that he had released confidential documents related to talks with America in the media last month, due to which there was a possibility of harming the ceasefire process.
