According to Iranian media Press TV, there have been massive protests after the recent attacks. Italy has summoned Iran’s ambassador regarding the drone attack in Cyprus.
2- Trump defended the attacks carried out on February 28, 2026 in an official letter sent to the US Congress. He wrote that on his instructions, American forces carried out precise attacks on Iran’s ballistic missile bases, sea mine capabilities, air defense systems and command and control centers. Their objective was to protect the American troops deployed in the region, protect America’s national interests and ensure the uninterrupted flow of maritime trade through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump also clarified that American ground troops were not used in these attacks and the operation was carried out in such a way that there was minimal harm to civilians.
3- The direct impact of war is also visible on global markets. There has been a tremendous rise in the prices of crude oil. International benchmark Brent crude crossed $85 per barrel, which is the highest level since July 2024. A decline was recorded in the American markets, while heavy selling was also seen in the stock markets of Asia and Europe. Shares of airline companies are under pressure because there is a possibility of increase in ticket rates due to rising oil prices.

There are more than 1,100 Indian sailors on board these ships. Due to the ongoing military actions between America, Israel and Iran, the important sea route Strait of Hormuz is currently closed, due to which the movement of ships has been affected. Some ships were bringing crude oil and LNG for India, while some were bringing petroleum products from Gulf countries.
6- Keeping an eye on the situation, the Directorate General of Shipping is in constant touch with the shipping companies and is closely monitoring the situation. In this conflict, at least three Indian sailors deployed on foreign flag ships in the West Asia region have died, while another has been injured. To ensure the safety of maritime personnel, the Shipping Ministry has constituted a special quick response team. However, in talks with Israel, Wang avoided direct condemnation and said all issues should be resolved through ‘dialogue and consultation’.
9- Wang Yi reiterated that China opposes military attacks by the US and Israel and said, “The use of force does not solve problems, but creates new crises and serious consequences.” China appealed to immediately stop the military action and warned that if the conflict does not stop, the situation may worsen.
