Speaking to reporters, Asaduddin Owaisi described the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as inhumane, illegal and immoral, saying it was a serious violation of international law. He said that US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have attacked Iran during the holy month of Ramadan. He said that Netanyahu does not believe in humanity.

‘The war must end immediately’

Owaisi condemned the attack on Iran and stressed that the war should end immediately. He urged the Government of India to de-escalate tensions and play a constructive role in peace efforts. He hoped that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government would unequivocally condemn such unlawful violence and the assassination of Khamenei.

Calling the attack on Iran cowardly and inhumane, he said the killing of innocent civilians, including school children, was shocking and exposed human rights advocates. He also warned that if the war continued, global oil prices would rise, affecting people around the world.
