Impact of Iran-Israel war on board exams: CBSE postponed exams, students’ worries increased in 7 countries!

CBSE Exam Postponed: Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a major decision and postponed the 10th and 12th board examinations to be held on March 2, 2026. This decision will be applicable to CBSE affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to the official instructions issued by the board, in view of the current circumstances, priority has been given to the safety of students and smooth conduct of examinations. In this regard, formal orders have been sent to all the concerned schools, so that they can give timely information to the students and parents.

CBSE gave information

Releasing a video on social media platform X, CBSE has shared this information and said that students and schools are informed that due to the prevailing situation in some parts of the Middle East (Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates), CBSE has decided to postpone the examinations of both class 10th and class 12th on Monday, March 2, 2026.

It has also been said that new dates will be announced later. The Board will review the situation on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 and take appropriate decisions regarding examinations scheduled from March 5 onwards.

CBSE exams are held in these countries

There are more than 200 schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education in 26 countries around the world, while CBSE schools are also located in Middle East countries such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Iran.
