This visual display of power coincides with claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that it has carried out the 75th wave of missile strikes as part of its ongoing retaliatory campaign True Promise 4. According to a report by Press TV, the latest attacks targeted Israeli military bases and the US Prince Sultan Air Base, a major United States military installation in Saudi Arabia. In an official statement, the IRGC said the operation was carried out out of respect for the martyred commanders and described it as a response to continued attacks by Israel and the United States. It further said that these attacks were carried out using advanced ballistic missiles and were based on precise espionage conducted by its intelligence units. The statement further claimed that the targets included new military deployments and hiding places of Israeli troops in several locations. It also stressed that the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia was attacked because it serves as a major hub for the deployment of US bombers and air operations against Iran.
