Former US President Donald Trump has said that the culprits of the attack on a school in Iran may never be found. He told this to journalists during his meeting with NATO Chief Mark Rutte. Trump denied that an American missile was behind the attack.

🚨: Strait of Hormuz: Taking fees from ships is not acceptable, Donald Trump warned Iran, said America is doing wonders.

This attack took place on 28 February 2026 on Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab area of Iran. 156 civilians were killed in this missile attack, of which 120 were children. The Iranian government claims that more than 175 people died in this accident.

Trump’s statements have seen changes over time. Initially he had blamed Iran for this attack without any evidence. After this he said that mistakes happen in war and this is a tragic incident. Now they are saying that it is difficult to identify the culprits.

On the other hand, according to a report by Reuters, the US Army’s own initial investigation had revealed that the US Army could be responsible for this attack. It was reported that this was a major technical mistake because due to old data and maps the school building was mistaken for a nearby military base.

Evidence found at the scene also pointed towards American involvement. Pieces of Tomahawk cruise missile have been found there, which only America has. The names of American arms companies and Pentagon contract numbers were also found written on these pieces. Experts confirmed that Iran does not have such missiles.

There is a lot of anger at the international level over this incident. UN and UNESCO have called it a major violation of humanitarian laws. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have called it a war crime and demanded accountability. 46 US senators have also written a letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth demanding answers on this attack and the deaths in it.
