Iran targeted American bases in Bahrain and Kuwait, now will America withdraw troops from the Middle East?

New Delhi: Tension between America and Iran has once again increased in the Middle East. Despite the recent news of peace agreement between the two countries, the attacks continue. The situation worsened after Iran targeted a container ship in the Strait of Hormuz near Oman. In response, America took action against Iran’s drone, missile and radar sites. After this, Iran attacked American military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait.

American military bases suffered damage

According to reports, after the conflict that started on February 28, Iran targeted about 20 US military bases, including the US naval base in Bahrain, with drones and missiles. Although the US has not officially confirmed the damage, many reports have claimed heavy damage to military bases.

Signs of attacks seen in satellite images

According to international media reports, satellite images and videos surfaced on social media indicate damage to American bases. It is a matter of relief that no American soldier was killed in these attacks, but the damage caused to the military infrastructure has affected America’s strategy.

America’s military deployment may change

Reports have claimed that America is now reviewing its military presence in the Middle East. There is a possibility that some military bases present in countries like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait may be shifted to such areas which are out of the reach of Iranian missiles. However, no official decision has been taken yet in this regard.

Political pressure increased on Trump

Meanwhile, the political debate regarding the Iran war has also intensified in America. According to the report, the reconstruction of the US naval base in Bahrain may cost up to $400 million. Meanwhile, the US Senate also passed a resolution related to stopping the war, which also got the support of some Republican lawmakers.

However, President Donald Trump criticized this proposal and called it a step taken at the wrong time. He said that this may affect their strategy, but America will continue to take necessary steps to protect its interests.
