Iran threatens to attack American technology giants Microsoft, Apple and Alphabet from April 1
The situation is becoming more serious amid increasing tension between Iran and America. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern warning, saying that it may target US-linked companies in response to any attack or killing. This statement has raised concern at the international level, because the names of many big global companies have also been included in it.
What did the IRGC say in the message?
IRGC clearly said in its message that there could be a potential threat to establishments associated with 18 companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft and Tesla. The organization has advised the employees of these companies to leave their workplaces immediately. Besides, an appeal has been made to the people living in those areas to move towards safe places by maintaining a distance of at least one kilometre. This warning has been said to be implemented from 8 pm on April 1, Tehran time.
The IRGC also said in its statement that any “terrorist action” against Iran will be responded to sternly and relevant targets will be targeted. Such strong language indicates that the situation in the region could deteriorate rapidly and the conflict could deepen.
America’s tough stance
On the other hand, America has also toughened its stance regarding Iran. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recently warned that Iran will have to reach an agreement with the US, otherwise it may have to face strong military action. He also said that the coming days could prove decisive for this conflict and this conflict would end only on American terms.
Reiterating US President Donald Trump’s stance, Hegseth said that Trump is not going to back down from his decisions and Iran should take it seriously. He advised the new leadership of Iran to show more understanding than the previous leadership and choose the path of dialogue. He also clarified that America is not currently planning to field ground troops, but if needed, no option can be ruled out.
