In fact, Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has claimed that America and Israel attacked the Iranian nuclear facility on Sunday.
UN rejected the claims
However, the head of the UN nuclear watchdog said that there is no evidence that any nuclear site was damaged in the reported attacks. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi told the agency’s 35-member Board of Governors on Monday that the agency had “no indication that any nuclear installation has been damaged or attacked.”
Grossi further said that the IAEA has not yet been able to contact Iran’s nuclear regulatory authorities. He said, “Efforts are ongoing to contact Iranian nuclear regulatory authorities, but no response has been received so far.”
‘The situation is very worrying’
IAEA Chief Grossi also said that so far, radiation levels in countries bordering Iran have not seen any increase above normal background levels. According to Reuters, Grossi further said, “The situation today is very worrying, we cannot rule out a possible radiological release with serious consequences, including the evacuation of areas as large or larger than major cities. He added, “We have to return to diplomacy and dialogue.”
Violence was seen in Pakistan also

Local police and paramilitary forces tried to stop the protesters. Tear gas was released and batons were used. According to the police, so far 8 protesters have been killed and many injured during the clashes. The mob first entered the embassy premises, broke windows and even tried to set it on fire. Police officials said that about 500 protesters had come to storm the embassy in the port city of Karachi on Sunday. The security forces were continuously struggling to control the crowd. The administration has issued high alert in Karachi till further orders.
