Iran war: Drone attack on US embassy in Riyadh, no casualties

Riyadh. The US Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was attacked by a drone on Tuesday morning, causing a minor fire. It is fortunate that there were no casualties. Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Turki al-Maliki said, “According to initial estimates, the US Embassy in Riyadh has been targeted by drones,” Saudi Gazette reported.

The incident resulted in a minor fire and minor damage to the building. He said five drones were shot down near Prince Sultan Air Base, south of Riyadh. Apart from this, an attempt was made to attack Ras Tanura oil refinery in the Eastern Province through two drones, but due to the falling debris of the shot down drone, a small fire broke out in the refinery.

There is no news of anyone being injured. US President Donald Trump has warned that America will soon respond to the drone attack. The US Embassy in Riyadh has issued an advisory for US citizens in Riyadh and Jeddah to avoid the embassy premises and stay indoors.
