Iran will implement new system on ships in Hormuz, complete plan told
Desk: Iran has said that it will soon implement a new system for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Under this, toll tax will be collected from ships. Iran says that this step is being taken to compensate for the losses incurred in the war. Iranian MP Ibrahim Azizi said that Iran will bring a new traffic management system for the movement of ships. Under this, fixed routes will be made for ships and fees will be charged for special services.
Azizi said that only those commercial ships and countries that cooperate with Iran will be able to take advantage of this facility. That means Iran can take strict action against the ships of its rival countries. Iran’s Vice President Mohammad Raza Arif said that Iran will not allow military equipment of enemy countries to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Ali Nikzad, said that the new law is being made keeping in mind the security of Iran, international law and the rights of neighboring countries.
Earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) had released a new map of the Strait of Hormuz. In this, a new safe route for ships was shown, which is closer to the coast of Iran. On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has warned Iran. Trump said that if a peace agreement is not reached soon, Iran will have to face very bad times.
Iranian MP Alireza Abbasi said that the Parliament is preparing to bring a new law. Under this, the movement of those ships which are carrying military goods for anti-Iran countries can be limited. Additional rules and fees may also be imposed on such ships. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Badher Ghalibaf said that the world is now moving towards a new system.
Russia has supported China’s stand on the Hormuz crisis. Russian diplomat Mikhail Ulyanov said that the only solution to this problem is a permanent ceasefire. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi also said that the Hormuz crisis can be resolved only through talks and a permanent ceasefire between America and Iran. Meanwhile, Bahrain and America are preparing to bring a proposal in the United Nations. In this, Iran will be demanded to stop attacks and laying landmines in the Strait of Hormuz.
