Iranian IRGC rejected Trump’s ceasefire condition, said- ‘Strait of Hormuz will not be opened to enemies’

Tehran, April 1. Iran’s top military unit, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has rejected America’s new conditions regarding the Strait of Hormuz. He claimed control of Hormuz and refused to open it on Washington’s terms.

Despite America’s new claims, Iran has refused to demand ceasefire and has insisted that no talks are going on with America amid the current tension. The IRGC said in a sharp statement that the strait will not be opened to the enemies of this nation because of the absurd posturing of the US President. This statement of IRGC indicates its tough stance amid the current conflict.

“The situation in the Strait of Hormuz is also completely and firmly under the control of the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps,” the Guards said in a statement broadcast on state TV. It will not be opened to the enemies of this nation.

This reply of IRGC came immediately after US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran’s leadership has demanded a ceasefire. He also said that this would be considered only when the Strait of Hormuz would be ‘open, free and clean’.

Trump wrote on his ‘Truth Social’ platform, ‘The President of Iran has just demanded a ceasefire from the United States! We will consider this only when the Strait of Hormuz is open, free and clean. By then, we will completely destroy Iran, or as people say – send it back to the ‘Stone Age’!!!’

Trump will address the nation tonight

Trump, who has been giving sometimes aggressive and sometimes conciliatory statements regarding the war, said late on Tuesday night that the war could end ‘in two weeks, maybe three weeks’. White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt said in an ex-post that President Trump will give the country ‘an important update on Iran’ at 9.00 pm on Wednesday (Thursday 0100 GMT).

Tehran has insisted that no negotiations are going on, and has not responded to Washington’s alleged 15-point proposal to end the war.

Iranian President Masood said – Islamic Republic has the power to end the war Have the ‘necessary willpower’

But Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian said the Islamic republic has the “necessary will” to end the war provided its enemies guarantee that it will not flare up again. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Al Jazeera that he still receives messages from US envoy Steve Witkoff – ‘directly, as before – and it does not mean that we are negotiating.’
