Iranian President told PM Modi the way to stop war

An important telephone conversation took place between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. In this conversation, both the leaders discussed in detail the strengthening of India-Iran relations as well as the increasing tension in West Asia. During the conversation, Pejeshkian clarified that the current conflict was not initiated by Iran, but according to him, the US and Israel initiated military action without any valid reason.

Iranian President’s allegations

The Iranian President alleged that many innocent people have lost their lives in the joint attacks by America and Israel. He claimed that Iran’s top leadership, senior military officers and civilians were targeted in these attacks. Referring to one incident in particular, Pejeshkian said that a girls school in the city of Minab was attacked from American bases located in neighboring countries, in which a large number of students died. Apart from this, he said that huge damage has also been caused to public infrastructure.

When the US said that these attacks were carried out to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, Pejeshkian rejected this claim. He reiterated that Iran’s top leadership has always been against nuclear weapons and there are religious and administrative restrictions on it in the country. He also said that the allegations of creating instability in the region are baseless and Israel’s military actions are only increasing the tension.

During the conversation, Pejeshkian reiterated Iran’s commitment to dialogue and transparency at the international level. He demanded America and Israel to immediately stop the attacks and guarantee that such incidents will not be repeated in future. He also proposed to create a security framework with the cooperation of regional countries for lasting peace in West Asia, in which there would be no external interference.

PM Modi congratulated on Eid

At the same time, Prime Minister Modi greeted the people of Iran on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Nowruz. Expressing concern over increasing tensions in the region, he condemned attacks on energy infrastructure and said that this could affect global energy and food security. Emphasizing the need for security of the Strait of Hormuz and smooth operation of maritime trade, Modi appealed to all parties to adopt the path of peace.
