‘Iranian ship was sunk, yet PM Modi did not say anything’, Rahul Gandhi’s target

The US Navy has sunk the Iranian warship IRIS Dena near Sri Lanka. Congress wants that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should issue a statement on this. But India has not responded yet. On this, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and MP from Rae Bareli, Rahul Gandhi targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Rahul Gandhi wrote on his official X account, ‘The world has entered a period of ups and downs. There is going to be a stormy sea ahead. India’s oil supply is in danger. More than 40 percent of our imports pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The situation is even worse for LPG and LNG.

Violence begets violence: Rahul Gandhi

In a post, Rahul Gandhi wrote, ‘The growing enmity between America, Israel and Iran is pushing a delicate region towards a bigger conflict. Crores of people, including 10 million Indians, are facing uncertainty. Security concerns are real, but attacks that violate sovereignty will further escalate the crisis. Unilateral attacks on Iran and Iran’s attacks on other Middle East countries must be condemned. Violence begets violence. Dialogue and restraint are the only path to peace.

The opposition leader further said, ‘India should be morally clean. We must have the courage to speak clearly in defense of international law and human life. Our foreign policy is based on sovereignty and peaceful resolution of disputes. It should remain the same. PM Modi should speak. Does he support the assassination of a head of state as a way to rule the world? Now silence lowers India’s status in the world.
