Iran’s big attack on Kuwait, power plant caught fire due to missile and drone falling
Iran’s attack on Kuwait has increased tension in the entire region. 16 and 17 July 2026 Iran launched a missile and drone attack on Kuwait’s soil, which Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry described as a serious violation of international law and sovereignty. According to the Kuwait Army, the country’s air defense system tried its best to stop these attacks and the sounds of explosions heard in the sky were part of these rescue operations.
Impact on electricity and water supply
17th July In an attack on 2017, units of electricity and water treatment plants were damaged, causing disruption in power supply. According to the ministry, there was also a fire which was brought under control by the fire department teams after a lot of effort. The good thing is that there is no news of any loss of life in this entire attack, although the drone debris has definitely caused some damage in residential areas.
Iran took responsibility for the attack
from iran Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Has taken responsibility for these attacks. They claim that they have targeted the American base in Kuwait. The IRGC alleges that this is a response to the US action against their civilian targets. They claim that they have targeted radar, weapon depot and launcher. The Kuwait government has held Iran fully responsible for this attack and said that it has the right to take every necessary step for the security of its country, citizens and expatriates. At present, neighboring countries like Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan and Oman have also reported attacks from Iran.
