Iran’s big step on Hormuz Strait, reimposed strict military control, now there will be oil crisis!
Iran has announced on Saturday that the strategically important Strait of Hormuz has once again been taken under “strict military control”. According to Iran, this situation is similar to the old control, which was in place before the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
According to Iranian state media IRIB, the Islamic Republic of Iran had previously allowed a limited number of oil tankers and commercial vessels to pass through this waterway after negotiations. This decision was taken on humanitarian and diplomatic grounds.
But Iran alleges that the US repeatedly violated the agreements and continued “piracy and violence” in the name of blockade of Iranian ports.
According to the Iranian spokesperson, “America is continuously going back on its promises and taking illegal actions in the name of sanctions.” For this reason, strict control has again been imposed on the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran has clarified that this strategic waterway will now remain under the “strict management and control” of its armed forces, and the situation will remain as such until the US ensures “complete free movement” of Iranian ships.
Meanwhile, on behalf of America, former President Donald Trump issued a statement on Truth Social saying that the American naval blockade against Iran will continue until a comprehensive peace agreement is reached.
After Trump’s statement, Iran’s Parliament Speaker MB Ghalibaf made a strong retort and said that all sea routes passing through the Strait of Hormuz will now be completely under Iranian permission and control.
Experts believe that increasing tension on the Strait of Hormuz could have a major impact on global oil supply and international trade, as it is one of the most important oil routes in the world.
