Iran’s Foreign Minister reached Geneva, did America approve Israel’s plan to attack Iran?
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Geneva, where he will attend the third round of nuclear talks with the United States. US envoy Steve Witkoff stressed that any deal over Tehran’s nuclear program must be permanent.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Geneva on Wednesday, where their talks will begin on Thursday. From the US side, the talks are being led by Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Growing concerns over Iran’s nuclear program
Tensions have risen amid discussions over Iran’s nuclear program, and US President Donald Trump has warned that military action could be taken if Tehran fails to reach a deal. Washington has strengthened its military presence in the Middle East, while Iranian officials have warned that they would target Israel and American interests if the US attacks.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also said that President Trump still hopes for a diplomatic solution. “They are trying intercontinental ballistic missiles, for example, you saw they are trying to launch satellites into space. They are moving on this path so that in the future they can develop weapons that can reach the United States,” he said.
Report of possible pre-emptive strike by Israel
Meanwhile, according to a report, senior advisors in the US administration have recommended Israel to approve a plan to conduct a pre-emptive strike on Iran. The report also said that about a dozen F-22 fighter planes of the US Air Force have landed in Israel. These planes took off from Lakenheath airbase on the morning of 24 February and later reached Israel.
Secret Diplomatic and Military Dialogue
This conversation on Iran’s nuclear program is important for both America and Israel. While on one hand the Trump administration has expressed hope for a diplomatic path, on the other hand Israel has increased its preparations for a quick military response.
According to reports, the US and Israel are planning to work together to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, which can help maintain stability in the Middle East.
