Iran’s response to Trump’s claim – ‘Not America, we will decide when the war will end’
US President Donald Trump has said that the ongoing war with Iran may end soon, but Iran has given a strong response to this. Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) said that we will decide when the war will end, not America.
Trump held a press conference at 3 pm (Indian time) on Monday at his Doral National Golf Club in Florida. Talking to reporters he said, ‘I think soon. Very early.’ He also said that if the war started again, there would be more powerful attacks on Iran. Trump claimed that his goals had been achieved due to the attacks by America and Israel. But he did not give a clear timeline as to when the war would end.
Trump had claimed that if America did not attack first, Iran could attack America within a week. According to him, Iran had a large number of missiles and was preparing to launch a major attack on America, Israel and the entire Middle East.
Trump also warned that if Iran disrupts global oil supply, the fight could escalate. Oil prices have already increased and were expected to reach their highest level since 2022. Iran has elected new hardline Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the late Ali Khamenei.
On behalf of Iran, IRGC issued a statement saying, ‘We will decide the end of the war. The equations and future of the area are now in the hands of our Armed Forces. American forces will not end the war. This statement is in sharp contrast to Trump’s claim that the war is on his mind and will end soon.
The ongoing war between America, Israel and Iran is now in its 11th day. Israel on Monday launched new attacks in central areas of Iran, targeting IRGC command centers, missile facilities and military infrastructure. Israel also intensified attacks on Hezbollah targets in Beirut. In response, Iran continued ballistic missile and drone attacks on Israel.
Meanwhile, attacks are also taking place in Gulf countries. There was a drone attack on the US Navy’s Salman Port in Bahrain, where many people were injured. Iran’s drone and missile attacks were also reported on Kuwait and UAE. One American soldier died in Saudi Arabia, now a total of 8 American soldiers have lost their lives.
Trump had earlier said that the US would not send ground troops to Iran and that unconditional surrender was the only way out. But Iran does not seem ready to bow down in any way. The whole world is keeping an eye on this war, because the increase in oil prices is affecting the global economy.
