Iran’s sharp response to Donald Trump’s warning, said- American intervention will lead to devastation

Amid the ongoing violent protests in Iran, Iran has reacted sharply to the warning given by former US President Donald Trump. A senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on Friday that if Donald Trump interfered in Iran’s internal affairs, it would result in chaos and devastation to the entire regional stability.

Donald Trump’s warning
Former President Donald Trump had issued a strong message regarding the ongoing protests in Iran. He had said that if the Iranian government used violence against the protesters, America would not remain silent in this matter. Trump made a statement on his social media platform ‘Tooth Social’ that if the Iranian government opened fire on protesters or killed them, America would be fully prepared to intervene.

Fierce protests in Iran
People took to the streets against Iran’s poor economy and rising inflation and have intensified protests across the country. The protests spread to the provinces on Thursday, leading to at least seven deaths in clashes between security forces and protesters. According to officials, these demonstrations are an indication that the government has decided to deal strictly with the protesters.

Biggest protest after 2022
These protests taking place in Iran have emerged as the biggest movement after 2022. Following the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody in 2022, there were massive demonstrations across the country. This time the protests have spread from the capital Tehran to other provinces as well. There have been reports of deaths during clashes between security forces and protesters in several areas, with violence particularly escalating in cities dominated by the Lur ethnic community.

Most violence in Lorestan province
Most incidents of violence have been reported in Ajna city of Lorestan province of Iran. In the video surfaced on social media, burning objects and the sounds of bullets can be heard. According to semi-official news agency Fars, three people have died in this violence. Additionally, pro-reform media outlets have also reported on these incidents.

What will happen next?
The conflict between the Iranian government and protesters has further complicated the situation. In view of these increasing protests across the country, the attention of the international community is becoming more focused on this issue. At the same time, Donald Trump’s threat of intervention has made this crisis even more global, which may increase regional and international tensions.
