Iran’s terrible action: Pakistan’s oil tanker blown up in the middle of the sea! Chaos in the Gulf of Hormuz, Iran said – ‘This will be the outcome of those who disobey’
Amidst the ongoing tension of war across the world, Iran has taken such an action which has left the whole world stunned. Iran has claimed that it has completely destroyed a huge oil tanker passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The most shocking thing is that this tanker was allegedly running under the flag of ‘Pakistan’. Iran alleges that the ship was trying to cross this very sensitive and important sea route without ‘permission’.
‘Targeted strike’ after warning
According to Iranian officials, the oil tanker was warned several times to stop and retreat before the action. When no response was received from the ship and it continued its journey, the Iranian Army carried out a ‘Targeted Strike’ on it. After this attack, a massive fire broke out in the ship and it was destroyed at sea. After this incident, Iran has given a strong message saying that none of its warnings should be taken lightly. Whoever violates their rules will face the same consequences.
Increased danger in the Gulf of Hormuz
Defense experts believe that the Strait of Hormuz already remains the most sensitive area in the world. In recent weeks, there have been reports of mysterious attacks on several ships and drone strikes. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) have recently tightened their control over this sea route. Some reports are even claiming that now Iran is giving limited permission only to the ships of its ‘friendly countries’ to pass through here.
Why is this sea route important?
The importance of the Strait of Hormuz can be gauged from the fact that about 20% of the world’s crude oil passes through this narrow passage. It is considered the lifeline of global energy supply. Any small movement happening here has a direct impact on the prices of oil in the international market. Due to increasing attacks in recent times, there has been a huge decline in the maritime traffic passing through this route, which can become a major threat to the global economy.
