From Iraq to Iran, America repeated the history of 2003! Understand what is Trump’s plan regarding the Middle East?
US-Israel Iran Tensions: After the US-Israeli attack, missiles and drones are visible in the sky of the Middle East. The biggest news that is coming out is that the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Has died? This has become the biggest question in the world right now. Giving information to news agency Reuters, a senior Israeli official said that ‘Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has died, his body has been found. From Trump to Netanyahu have confirmed this.
Iran will repeat the history of Iraq
In 2003, America appointed then President George W. Attacked Iraq under the leadership of Bush. It was claimed that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has “destructive weapons” (WMD – Weapons of Mass Destruction), which are a threat to global security. The US administration said that Iraq has active chemical, biological and possibly nuclear weapons programs. This argument became the main basis of the war.
However, when an international investigation took place after the occupation of Iraq, no evidence of any active WMD stockpile was found. The reports of American intelligence agencies were either wrong or exaggerated. It was later acknowledged that the information given before the war was an intelligence failure. This incident raised serious questions on American foreign policy and intelligence credibility.
Parallels with Iran crisis
Today, the concerns of Western countries and Israel regarding Iran are mainly regarding its nuclear program. Iran says its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, while the US and Israel suspect that Tehran wants to develop nuclear weapons. The situation strikes many analysts as Iraq before 2003 — where the potential threat was presented as an immediate and real threat.
However, a major difference is that Iran’s nuclear program has been monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and in 2015 there was also a nuclear deal (JCPOA) between Iran and world powers. Later, America decided to withdraw from this agreement during the tenure of Donald Trump.
Trump and Israel support
Donald Trump gave priority to Israel’s security during his tenure as President. Even though there was some talk of positive nuclear negotiations with Iran, the Trump administration took a tough stance — imposing sanctions and supporting Israel’s “security measures.” Israel believes Iran is fueling regional instability, particularly through its support of Hezbollah and other groups.
Trump’s support was not limited to nuclear weapons only. It was also concerned with maintaining the balance of power in the Middle East, security of oil routes, and maintaining the strong US-Israel strategic alliance.
Is the issue only about weapons?
Many experts believe that this is not just a question of weapons, but a broader geopolitical power struggle. Influence in the Middle East, control over energy resources, and regional dominance — these factors all play a role.
The Iraq War demonstrated that military action based on incomplete or inaccurate information can have serious long-term consequences. The same question arises in the context of the Iran crisis – will geopolitical strategy once again open the way for conflict?
