Passengers upset due to IRCTC malfunction
Due to glitches in the website and mobile app of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), passengers are not able to book train tickets. This glitch is causing inconvenience to passengers and many users have expressed their disappointment on social media.
Users report platform issues on Downdetector.
DownDetector, a platform that monitors online service disruptions, reported a surge in complaints, with more than 2,500 users affected. About 72 percent of the reports focused on displeasure with the website, while 28 percent focused on problems with the mobile app.
Users attempting to access the app received an error message that read: “Unable to perform operation due to maintenance activity.”
No official statement from IRCTC
So far, IRCTC has not issued any official explanation for this disruption nor has it said when the service will be restored. The lack of communication has further increased anxiety among passengers who depend on the platform for train booking.
Recurring problem for IRCTC users
This is not the first time IRCTC has faced disruption. Similar outages have caused a lot of inconvenience to users in the past. After the services were disrupted again, both passengers and investors are eagerly awaiting the company's response to resolve the issue and restore functionality.
