New Delhi: If you want to visit many famous religious places of South India in one trip, then this can be a great opportunity for you. IRCTC has started a special tour package named ‘Dakshin Bharat Yatra’ for the devotees. In this journey organized through Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, major pilgrimage sites like Tirupati Balaji, Rameshwaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari and Mallikarjuna Jyotirling in Srisailam will be visited. This journey will start from 31 July 2026 and continue till 11 August 2026. The starting price of this package of total 11 nights and 12 days has been fixed at Rs 23,560 per person.
This special Bharat Gaurav train will leave from Gorakhpur. On the way, passengers will also be able to board it from Mankapur, Ayodhya Cantt, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj Sangam, Rae Bareli, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Orai, Veerangana Laxmibai (Jhansi) and Lalitpur stations. With this facility, it will be easier for devotees from Uttar Pradesh and surrounding states to start the journey.

First darshan of Tirupati Balaji
The first major stop of the journey will be Renigunta. From here the passengers will be taken to Tirupati by road. There will be arrangements for two nights stay in Tirupati, so that the devotees can have darshan comfortably. During this period, apart from Tirupati Balaji Temple, darshan of Shri Kalahasti Temple and Padmavati Temple will also be offered. However, travelers will have to make their own arrangements for special darshan at Tirumala temple.
Rameshwaram and Madurai will also be part of the yatra
After Tirupati the train will reach Rameshwaram. Here the devotees will be given darshan of the famous Ramanathaswami temple and there will also be arrangements for night rest. If for some reason the train does not reach Rameshwaram station directly, passengers will be taken to the temple via bus from Kudalnagar or Manamadurai station. After this the yatra will reach Madurai, where devotees will be able to visit the famous Meenakshi Amman temple.
Darshan of Kanyakumari and Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga also
In the next phase of the journey, the devotees will reach Kanyakumari, the southern end of the country. Here many major local tourist places including Vivekananda Rock Memorial will be visited. After this the train will reach Markapur Road station. From here the passengers will be taken to Srisailam by bus, where they will be given darshan of Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. After darshan, the return journey will start and the train will reach Gorakhpur again on 11 August 2026.
Package Fare and Facilities
IRCTC has fixed the fare for this journey according to different categories. The fare for sleeper economy class has been kept at Rs 23,560 per person. Whereas the per person fee has been fixed at Rs 39,100 for 3 AC standard class and Rs 51,760 for 2 AC comfort class. Separate fare will apply for children. If a passenger books alone, he will have to share the room with another passenger on double or triple sharing basis.

This tour package includes travel by Bharat Gaurav train, hotel accommodation as per category, wash and change facility, morning tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner, pure vegetarian food, local transportation, travel insurance, tour escort and services of IRCTC tour manager throughout the journey.
