Farmers have demanded that an impartial investigation should be conducted into the entire matter and strict action should be taken against the culprits, so that such a situation does not happen again in future.

Allegations of corruption at paddy procurement centers

Farmers also say that paddy procurement is an important scheme of the government, the objective of which is to provide fair price to the farmers for their produce. But when allegations like corruption and illegal recovery are made in this system, the trust of the farmers is broken. Many farmers also alleged that they were intimidated.

Farmers wait for action against culprits

At present the farmers are waiting for administrative action. The farmers demand that the paddy procurement process should be made transparent and strict action should be taken against the guilty officers or employees, so that the farmers can get their rights.
