Is BIGBANG’s Daesung’s viral video on Squid Game an indirect endorsement for T.O.P?

Daesung, a member of famous k-pop group BIGBANG, revealed that he runs an anonymous YouTube channel after running it for several months. In addition to posting drum covers, he most recently shared a video about the drama Squid Game season 2, which starred his old partner T.O.P. It was believed that his involvement in the Squid Game was an indirect gesture of support for T.O.P.

On his channel D’splay, Daesung debuted a rendition of the popular Squid Game fan-edited song Squid Game: The Musical on January 19. The video’s subject matter soon attracted the attention of fans. Fan speculations continued to surface despite Daesung’s monotonous and exuberant performance of the song, which was accompanied by the green light red light sequence from the Squid Game.
