Chained Soldier’s season 2: Key details so far

The first season of the anime was animated by Seven Arcs. The second season of the anime will be produced by Passion (with Hayabusa Film), and viewers have noticed improvements in animation quality for the fight scenes as well as the uncensored fan service scenes (“reward” scenes) that were not in the first season.

Masafumi Tamura is directing the second season of the anime (the first season director has since been replaced). Yasuhiro Nakanishi returns as the series’s composer, while Keiya Nakano will be doing character designs.

The anime is being streamed with an uncensored version on HIDIVE, and an announcement was made about English dubs being produced for the second season. Promotional trailers and teasers have also been released, showcasing the battles between the Demon Defense Force and the Demon King, as well as the new “slave” transformations.

The anime is based on a current manga titled “Mato”, created by Takahiro and Yōhei Takemura, and centers on action-fantasy with ecchi/harem elements, battle scenes against Demons in an alternate world (Mato), and the special “reward” powers that Yuuki Wakura will provide to the female commanders.

Chained Soldier’s season 2: What to expect

The second season starts directly from where the first left off and adds or expands on some of the characters, such as Ren Yamashiro (Head Commander of Unit 10 and the overall Head Commander), who was teased previously as a significant addition. Trailers for this new season show that season two will also contain a similar level of fight scenes, unit dynamics, new leaders/chiefs, and Yuuki’s transformations when “vouched” for by different units. Many viewers have praised fight scenes, and fan service has been improved from season one, with social media discussions showing early episode ratings and reviews are generally positive (mostly rated 7/8 out of 10).

The manga is ongoing. If season two is successful, there will be opportunities for future seasons!

You can check the official website for this anime (mabotai.jp), as well as HIDIVE or Crunchyroll news sites, to see release dates, trailers, and all streaming information regardless of your country and any delays & simulcast timings. Season 1 is available on multiple platforms, including HIDIVE.

Enjoy the battles and chaos! Season 2 looks like it will have a lot of the things that fans enjoyed about the first season, but escalate the stakes this time around!
