“Euphoria” has not been renewed for Season Four as of April 2026; according to creator Sam Levinson, there are currently “no plans” for a fourth season. Levinson also emphasized that he spends time writing each season as if it will be the final season. Telling Drew Barrymore, Zendaya, who stars as Rue, believes that Season 3 will be the final season of “Euphoria”; she said the end is coming.
As of today, fans can catch up again on Season 3. Today (April 12, 2026), the premiere episode will air on both HBO and stream as an original series via Max at 9 p.m. ET, with subsequent episodes beginning to air weekly beginning until May 31, 2026. Season 3 will feature eight episodes, and the storyline will move the characters five years later, post-high school, and into young adulthood. Themes such as faith, redemption, and evil between childhood friends will be examined as they navigate various complexities during adolescence.
Returning cast members for season three will include: Zendaya (Rue), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), Hunter Schafer (Jules), Alexa Demie (Maddy), Maude Apatow (Lexi), and many others. New cast members will include Rosalia, Sharon Stone, Natasha Lyonne, Colman Domingo, and others, while several of the original cast members will be absent (Barbie Ferreira is not expected to return to the series for a third season due to a prior commitment; and the cast and crew of “Euphoria” remember the late Angus Cloud with great fondness).
Casey Bloys is the CEO of HBO and has stated his willingness to have further discussions with Levinson after Season 3 is completed. Casey praised Levinson’s direction as being very creative; however, he stressed that at this time, we need to focus solely on bringing about a great finale first. Because of production delays, Season 3 has been pushed out quite a ways; additionally, because of the outstanding success of the cast, it would be much more difficult to move forward with another season.
Levinson intends to make the finale a ‘slam dunk’. You can expect to see very intense drama, lots of visual effects, and some great emotion. Generally, any type of television programming is never definitely established until it goes into production; however, presently, all indicators suggest that Season 3 will be the commencement of the series’s conclusion.
