The story, which was written by Choi Gyu Seok, takes place in the future and features creatures that arise out of nowhere to condemn humans to destruction. More issues were raised by his abrupt change into an executioner. Park Jung Ja admitted to seeing monsters whenever he glanced in the mirror, but he later disclosed that these monsters had always been inside of him.

When he finally accepted his fate, the monsters took over and he became the same executioner who had killed him in the first place. But following the metamorphosis, he disappeared, leaving the question of where he went unanswered. An intriguing idea for a possible third season is established by this cliffhanger.

The baby who survived the demonstration is the subject of yet another significant cliffhanger. Despite appearing to have died at first, she was the first human to return from a demonstration, rising back to life in a matter of seconds.

Sodo lawyer Min Hye Jin, the Arrowheads, and the New Truth Society get further caught up in the chaos. This becomes even more intense when startling resurrections take place, bringing back Park Jung Ja, another condemned person, and Jung Jin Su, the previous chairman of New Truth.
