Is his decision going to be costly for ‘Dhurandhar’? What is the connection of Rs 40 crore damages imposed on Ranveer Singh with Don 3?
Fans have been eagerly waiting for Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘Don 3’ for a long time. Some time ago, Excel Entertainment had released the teaser of the film, in which Ranveer Singh was introduced as the new don in place of Shahrukh Khan. However, in recent times the news came out that Ranveer Singh is no longer a part of this film. Now a big update has come out in this matter.
Ranveer Singh will have to pay huge compensation
According to the report, Farhan Akhtar’s production company Excel Entertainment has reportedly demanded damages of Rs 40 crore from Ranveer Singh. This controversy started after Ranveer’s exit from ‘Don 3’. It is being told that Ranveer had left the film in December, after which the production company had to suffer huge financial losses. The report claims that Excel Entertainment had already spent a huge amount on the pre-production of the film. There were also delays in shooting planning, scheduling and other preparations, due to which the producers had to suffer losses. The company believes that they should compensate for the loss caused by Ranveer Singh.
Why did Ranveer Singh leave ‘Don 3’?
According to sources, Ranveer Singh left this film because he did not like its script. He asked for changes in the script several times, but was not satisfied with the final draft. At the same time, Excel Entertainment says that the preparations for the film were started only after getting Ranveer’s consent.
Efforts for reconciliation between the two parties
The report also states that on Friday, a meeting was held between Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment for about two hours, but no concrete solution could be reached. Both sides put responsibility on each other, but no agreement could be reached. Seeing the matter escalating, the Producers Guild of India has now come in between and is trying to bring about a reconciliation between the two parties, so that the dispute does not escalate further. At present, no official statement has come from Ranveer Singh or Excel Entertainment on this entire matter. Talking about the work front, after the huge success of ‘Dhurandhar’ released last year, Ranveer Singh will now be seen in its sequel ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. This film is going to be released in theaters on March 19.
