New Delhi. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has said that what General Naravane is saying seems to be true in the situation of confusion that has arisen regarding the publication of the book of former Army Chief General MM Naravane.
When asked about this by journalists in the Parliament House complex on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi said that the former Army Chief says that the book is printed and it can be purchased online while the book’s publisher Penguin denies its publication. In this situation of dilemma, he felt that the former army chief was speaking the right thing.
The Congress leader said, “There is a tweet by General Naravane, in which he has written, ‘Click on the link of my book.’ What I mean to say is that either former Army Chief Naravane is lying or Penguin Publishing Company. I don’t think the former army chief will lie. Penguin publishing company says the book has not been published, even though the book is available on Amazon.”
He said, “General Naravane says, ‘Please buy my book in 2023.’ I trust Naravane ji more than Penguin publishing company. Do you trust Penguin Publishing Company more than General Naravane? I believe that Naravane ji has given some such statements in his book which are inconvenient for the Government of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Obviously, you have to decide who is speaking the truth, Penguin Publishing Company or the former Army Chief.
