Is Nitish Kumar going to become a minister in Modi government? NDA’s most trusted source revealed a big secret
These days, the market of rumors is hot in the political circles of the country regarding former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. There is only one discussion going on everywhere that Nitish Kumar, who ruled Bihar at the pinnacle of power for almost 20 years, is now going to become a minister in the Modi government at the Centre. Many types of claims are being made regarding this matter from social media to political circles. But is there really any truth in this? Will Nitish Kumar really start a new innings in Delhi politics? To get to the bottom of all these questions, when very reliable sources of NDA were talked to, the reality that came out is far away from all these discussions.
Nitish Kumar’s focus now only on JDU and organization
Highly reliable sources of NDA have clearly stated that now Nitish Kumar’s entire focus is on strengthening his party Janata Dal United (JDU) and its organization. After voluntarily resigning the post of Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar has put all his energy into fixing the problems of the party. They are now activating the organization at the grassroots level. Wherever he sees some opposition or dissatisfaction in the state, Nitish Kumar himself is coming forward and ‘treating’ it. His only aim is to make JDU the biggest and strongest party in Bihar by the time of the next assembly elections.
Nitish does not have even the slightest desire to become a Union Minister.
Sources also strongly denied that Nitish Kumar is in the race to go to Delhi and become a minister. The reality is that Nitish Kumar does not have the slightest interest in becoming a part of the Union Cabinet. He has no desire or desire to go to the Center and hold any ministerial post. It is practically impossible for a leader who has led a big state like Bihar from the front foot for two decades to now work as a minister under someone else. Therefore, whatever news is going on about Nitish Kumar joining the Modi cabinet, they are completely baseless.
Chances of becoming a minister in Modi government are also negligible.
Sources have put forward another big argument in this matter. He says that even today Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself never gets tired of praising Nitish Kumar and always calls him a very respected companion. The simple rule of politics is that one always makes one’s partner equal to oneself and not below oneself. Even PM Modi himself would never want this. Given these circumstances, the chances of Nitish Kumar joining the Modi cabinet are equal to zero. It is obvious that now any post of Union Minister will not suit Nitish Kumar’s long political experience and his tall stature at all.
If he had to become a Union Minister, then why would he leave the post of CM of Bihar?
Raising a big question, inside sources said that just think, if Nitish Kumar really had to become the Union Minister, then he would have been in control of power in Bihar. Why did he leave the post of Chief Minister, that too just to get a ministerial post in Delhi? He left the post of CM because he wanted to hand over the responsibility of development of Bihar to the new generation. He has a distinct and strong reputation among the people of Bihar, people still give examples of his work. The overwhelming majority he got in the elections of 2025 is also a testimony to how much trust the public has in him. In such a situation, there is no justification for leaving the post of CM and becoming a Union Minister.
Now Nitish on the way to retirement, only goal is to strengthen the organization
Nitish Kumar has now reached that stage of age which gradually leads to retirement from active politics. At this age, instead of joining the race for office, any big leader wants to strengthen his organization in such a way that a clear and long path can be prepared for the coming generation. Nitish Kumar is now in such a mental state where he has no personal desire left for any post. If he had such greed for office, he would not have resigned from the post of Union Minister long ago, taking moral responsibility for a train accident. The simple and clear gist of all these things is that Nitish Kumar is not at all going to become a minister in the Modi government at the Centre.
