As of April, Silo’s Season 3 premiere is not happening in 2026, according to reporters and actress Rebecca Ferguson. The consensus is that summer 2026 (June-August) is when this season will be released.
While promoting a film on the Today Show with Hoda and Jenna during March 2026Ferguson shared, “It’s coming out this summer…” but did not elaborate too much further. ScreenRant, Winter is Coming, and 9to5Mac can also be used as sources to validate this, and they all state an undisclosed release date within that summer window.
In November 2024, Apple TV+ agreed to renew Silo for Seasons 3 & 4, and it filmed both seasons together. It was reported by Ferguson in May/June 2025 that filming for Silo – Season 3 has concluded, but filming has to go through a heavy post-production and VFX stage before the show can be released. Silo’s Season Two ended in January 2025, and based on the amount of creative content from Hugh Howey’s Wool series being incorporated into Silo, it clearly required a more time-intensive and grandiose production momentum than what was needed to produce the show from beginning-of-filming through post-production, on inspiration from Wool’s Books one and two.
Apple TV+ likes to promote prestige sci-fi shows during the warmer summer months to create interest and excitement for the first two seasons of Silo, so putting Silo in the summer 2026 release window is complementary to some of its other big summer release sci-fi shows being released. Additionally, we are aware there are numerous cast returns for Season 3 (such as Tim Robbins), while there will also be new cast additions (such as Ashley Zukerman and Jessica Henwick) for Season 3. The prior announcement about the Silo Season 3 release window being in April is thus incorrect, as most resources are supporting summer 2026.
However, expect soon for a trailer and official release date announcement from Apple TV+ to follow up on their recent announcement, since their marketing initiatives typically ramp up before a season release.
