Is ‘The Beauty’ returning for Season 2? Everything we know so far

A few months ago, you may have heard about FX’s nighttime thriller, The Beauty. It has already become one of the most highly anticipated sci-fi horror bodies out there in the world of on-demand streaming services/OTT. It will explore genetic perfection through a sexually transmitted ‘beauty’ treatment that has dark, transformative consequences. Starring Ashton Kutcher as Byron Forst, as well as Evan Peters and various other talented actors (per Ryan Murphy), the series presents gore, humor, and social disorder within the FX/HULU collaboration.

Fans of The Beauty are counting down till Season 2 drops, which will contain deeper conflicts, an unknown cure for all that we’ve been through as an audience, and continued unresolved cliffhangers from the heartbreaking, shocking first season finale aired in mid-March 2026, following the series’ immensely successful premiere last summer.

‘The Beauty’ Season 2: Returning Status & Latest Updates

As of March 2026, The Beauty has not yet been renewed for a second season. Following the finale airing on March 4, 2026, no announcement has been made by either FX or Hulu (the networks streaming the show) regarding a renewal or cancellation of the show. The first season aired with 11 episodes beginning on January 21, 2026; it is a sci-fi body horror series created by Ryan Murphy that is based on a comic. The show stars Ashton Kutcher as Byron Forst and Evan Peters, among others, and follows the use of a sexually transmitted treatment known as “beauty,” which creates genetically perfect humans but comes with severe risks of injury or death.

Multiple sources (TV Insider, Primetimer, Yahoo/ComingSoon, etc.) have pointed out that several factors must be taken into consideration when determining whether a show will receive a renewal, including audience metrics, viewing completion rates, and financial revenue. FX has not had enough time to determine these metrics yet- the show only recently ended on March 4th (less than two weeks ago).

The show is presented in a format that allows for the possibility of a second season as opposed to an anthology or miniseries.

Ashton Kutcher (the lead) is reportedly quiet and eager to return for a second season, as he has enjoyed working on The Beauty and stated to outlets like TV Line that he would come back if requested. Evan Peters expressed his own desire to have a second season and is curious to see what could happen in a world after having a second season if The Beauty became widely popular. Some of the cast and guest stars are also looking forward to a second season.
