Under the captaincy of Surya, the team has won all the series so far, but the individual performance of the captain has been quite disappointing. On the other hand, the condition of team vice-captain Shubhman Gill is also the same. Runs are not coming from his bat. However, the place of both the players is confirmed in the playing eleven. Perhaps the reason for this is Surya Kumar Yadav being the captain and Shubman Gill being the vice-captain.

Let us tell you that captain Surya had played an inning of 75 runs against Bangladesh in Hyderabad in October last year. After which not a single half-century has come from his bat. On one hand, despite poor performance, Surya Kumar Yadav and Shubman Gill are being given opportunities again and again, while on the other hand, players like Yashasvi Jaswal, Rituraj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson are not getting a chance to play. In the current series, an excellent batsman like Rinku Singh was shown the way out of the team. Whereas Rinku was performing well when he got the chance.
