Is ‘Tiger vs Pathan’ closed? Big update on Salman-Shahrukh’s mega film
Tezzbuzz Desk – The year 2026 is going to be no less than a big celebration for Bollywood fans. On one hand, Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘King’ is going to be released on 24 December 2026, while on the other hand, Salman Khan’s ‘Battle of Galwan’ is also in discussion. However, the new release date of Salman’s film will be confirmed soon and currently some additional scenes are being shot.
But amidst all this, the film the fans are waiting for the most is YRF Spy Universe’s Tiger vs Pathaan. Recent reports have increased the stir regarding this mega project.
Has the film been shelved?
The box office performance of the recent films of production house Yash Raj Films was not as expected. ‘Tiger 3’ also could not do much good. At the same time, discussions regarding ‘War 2’ and ‘Mardaani 3’ also remained cold.
Meanwhile, news came out that Aditya Chopra is currently focusing on his next film ‘Alpha’, which has been postponed twice. It is being told that the production house is currently cautious about big budget and risky projects.
Some reports claimed that ‘Tiger vs Pathan’ has been put on hold for the time being. It was said that work on the script of the film was going on and both the superstars had agreed on the basic plot, but the matter got stuck over the financial structure and revenue sharing.
Fees and revenue sharing become the reason?
According to sources, both Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan had demanded a share in the revenue along with triple digit fees. In such a situation, the budget of the project would have increased significantly. It is being said that considering the financial calculations, Aditya Chopra has taken a step back for the time being.
However, it has been clarified by the makers that the film has not been shelved. It is still in the pipeline and will be taken forward when the time is right.
Fans will have to wait
There is as much excitement as there is speculation about ‘Tiger vs Pathan’. The dream of seeing Salman and Shahrukh together on the big screen is not over yet, it may just take a little longer to wait.
