Currently, XO, Kitty hasn’t been renewed for Season 4, as there has been no announcement regarding it following the release of Season 3 on April 2nd, 2026, which means that Netflix will likely take some time to evaluate its interest in continuing the series. Netflix typically announces new seasons around one month after a season has been released. The team behind the series was aware that they were already beginning the process of developing a fourth and final season after the release of Season 2, which was done in early 2025.
There have been sufficient viewership numbers for the series, with the first season earning over 14 million views during its first week and more than 35 million views in the second season. If Season 3 has a similar performance, the team at Netflix will most likely go forward with developing and producing a fourth and final season to conclude Kitty Song Covey’s senior year at KISS. Valentina Garza (Showrunner) stated that the team is eager to show the continued growth and learning of the characters, which will depend on the viewing numbers for the series.
If the fourth and final season is approved, you can expect it to be released around early-mid-2027 based on the production time required for the series. The principal members of the cast (Anna Cathcart, Sang Heon Lee, Choi Min-Yeong, Gia Kim, Anthony Keyvan, etc.) will most likely all be returning. Kitty Song Covey’s storyline concluded in season three with her and Min-Ho getting back together and making plans to come to Portland, which would give rise to the potential storylines of graduation from KISS, visiting family, continuing to NYU, and dealing with the challenges of a long-distance relationship.
Fans of this K-drama (Korean drama) inspired series are hopeful that there will be an opportunity for one last time for Kitty Song Covey to embrace the fall semester one last time. Stay tuned for the announcement regarding Season 4 from Netflix.
