What is Malware: in india today Android Smartphone has become a necessity in every home. UPI payment Be it online banking, social media or office work, everything is done on this small phone. But the more the use, the greater the danger. Android phones have become the most favorite target of cyber criminals today. The matter of relief is that there is no need to run to the service center for every small and big problem. If you recognize the right signs, the danger can be avoided in time.
What is Malware and why are Android users more affected?
Malware is a dangerous software, which can silently enter the phone, steal your data, monitor your activities and harm the phone. Android users are more targeted because apart from Play Store, people also download apps from third-party websites. In India, it is common to click on mod APKs, free premium apps and unknown links received on WhatsApp or SMS. This is where the danger begins.
The phone itself starts giving danger signals
If your phone has suddenly become slow, has started heating up without any reason or is repeatedly hanging and crashing, then do not ignore it. If the battery is draining rapidly even when the phone is not being used, then it can be a big sign of the presence of malware.
Keep a special eye on unknown apps
Go to Settings and open the Apps section and carefully check all the installed apps. If you see an app that you have never downloaded, or whose name and function seem strange, be alert. Malware often disguises itself as fake updates, fake tools, or simple flashlight apps. If in doubt, definitely search the name of the app on the internet.
Malware can be detected even with permission
Go to Settings > Privacy > Permission Manager to see which app is requesting access to the camera, microphone, contacts or messages. If a simple calculator app wants permission to read call logs or SMS, it’s a clear red flag.
Data usage and pop-up advertisements also give indications
Malware constantly consumes data in the background. Go to Data Usage to see if any app is consuming more data than necessary. Apart from this, if pop-up advertisements start appearing in the phone even without using the internet, then understand that adware may be present in the phone.

when things start getting worse
If the phone automatically starts sending messages, calls or the banking app stops working, immediately remove suspicious apps, update the software and change necessary passwords. If the problem persists, the safest method is to take a backup and do a factory reset.
