In this grand event held on Monday night, Isha Ambani wore a custom saree made by designer Gaurav Gupta, which was prepared in collaboration with Indian artisans. This special costume of his presented Indian craftsmanship brilliantly on the global stage.
Indian art and craft reflected in saree
Isha Ambani’s saree was woven from pure gold threads with hand-crafted Pichwai style-inspired designs. Adorned in light gold and earthy colours, this saree presented an artistic look due to its sculptural drape.

Blouse and historical headpiece added elegance
Her blouse was adorned with diamond and metal zardosi, which was taken from her mother Nita Ambani’s personal collection. Along with this, her look also included a historical headscarf at the back, which was once a part of the Nizam’s collection.
Modernity and tradition seen in hair sculpture
Isha completed her look with a jasmine-inspired hair sculpture, which was a modern take on the traditional mogra gajra. This special design was made from paper, copper and brass and it took more than 150 hours to make it.
Mango statue became the center of attraction
However, what attracted the most attention was the mango shaped statue made by Subodh Gupta. This unique jewelery was a symbol of Indian heritage and added a distinct artistic identity to her entire look. Mango being the national fruit of India gave further cultural depth to this presentation.
