Isha Ambani named Harper’s Bazaar Icon of the Year, dedicates title to mother Nita Ambani and…, no it’s not Mukesh Ambani

Isha Ambani, the daughter of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, who runs Reliance Retail, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, was bestowed with the ‘Icon of the Year’ award at Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2024.

Isha Ambani, the daughter of Reliance Industries Chairman and Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, was bestowed with the ‘Icon of the Year’ award at Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2024 at a gala event in Mumbai on Saturday. Isha, who heads Reliance Retail, the retail arm Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance business empire, dedicated the award to her daughter Aadiya, and her mother, Nita Ambani.

“I would like to dedicate this award to my daughter, Aadiya, who inspires me every day to do more and do better,” the 32-year-old said after being presented the award by Gauri Khan, wife of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan who herself won the Best Interior Designer award at the event.

Isha Ambani also dedicated the award to her mother, Nita Ambani, calling the Reliance Foundation Chairperson as her role model who paved the way for her success.

“I always tell her that mom, thank you for walking, so I could run. So really, this is because of her. She paved the way upon which I walk today,” Isha said.

Who is Isha Ambani?

Isha Ambani, the daughter of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, runs Reliance Retail, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries. The retailer marketer is a partner brand major international brands such as Versace, Amiri, Armani, and Balenciaga, bringing reputed international brands, into the Indian market.

Reliance Retail, which has an estimated value of around Rs 8.3 lakh crores, has witnessed exponential growth in a short period of time, opening 3,300 stores across the country in they year 2023.

Besides heading Reliance Retail, Isha Ambani also serves as the Director of Reliance Industries Limited, the parent company of Reliance Retail.

Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

The Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards is an annual event celebrating women achievers across all walks of life, including film, television, art, culture, literature, business among others.
